1950’s spades auto club baseball jersey

Here’s a nice 1950s black and white cotton baseball jersey featuring a chainstitched spades auto club patch. An interesting piece of car club history on a garment you don’t normally see worn by members. Curious if maybe they had a league where “Red” was a member.
